Gabriel Cropley
GABRIEL CROPLEY, Lighting Design
Gabriel Cropley is a graduate of Ryerson Theatre School, Technical Director of the Winchester St. Theatre, and a freelance Lighting Designer. Lighting designs for Toronto Dance Theatre include Four at the Winch (Oct 2009) with choreographers Josh Beamish, Robert Kingsbury, Simone Orlando and Natasha Torres-Garner; Up Until Now (Jan 2009) with iconic American choreographer Deborah Hay, and 12 Solos (May 2007) with choreographers Marie-Josée Chartier, Hari Krishnan, Holly Small and Yvonne Ng. Mr. Cropley has also toured as Lighting Director for TDT’s Timecode Break to New York City, London UK, and across Canada. Mr. Cropley is resident lighting designer for the School of Toronto Dance Theatre and has collaborated with such dance artists as Marc Boivin, Paul-André Fortier, Margie Gillis, James Kudelka, Sharon Moore, Julia Sasso, Darryl Tracy, Heidi Strauss, and William Yong. Gabriel has also designed for Art of Time Ensemble, Toronto Masque Theatre, HCA Dance Theatre, Forcier Stage Works, and Four Chambers Dance Project.
