Johanna Bergfelt began her dance training at the age of four, attending the Ösmo Dance School in Stockholm, Sweden and later The Swedish Ballet School. She has an extensive performance background beginning with the Royal Swedish Ballet and Östgotabaletten. She has also been a dancer and company class instructor for the Barents Dance Ensemble and a company member of NorrDans. Since coming to Canada, Ms. Bergfelt has worked with The Chimera Project, Kaeja d'Dance, Kathleen Rea, Santee Smith, Louis Laberge-Côté and ProArteDanza. She is also a teacher at Dance-Teq and The School of Toronto Dance Theatre. Ms. Bergfelt will be on maternity leave for the 2007-2008 season.
