Born in Oakville, Kaitlin Standeven began dancing at the age of four approaching dance by way of interdisciplinary training, studying ballet, modern, jazz, and tap. After her family's move to Vancouver, she found new inspiration under the tutelage of Susie Green, performing with Visions Dance Company. Ms. Standeven returned to Ontario to further refine her craft at Ryerson University, graduating with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the spring of 2009. Since joining Toronto Dance Theatre in 2006, Ms. Standeven has had the privilege of working with choreographers Carol Anderson, Valerie Calam, Deborah Hay, Christopher House, Laurence Lemieux, David Pressault, and Christoph Winkler.
