Syreeta Cheryl Hector was born in Saint John, New Brunswick. She was introduced to ballet while attending high school in North Carolina. After returning to Canada, she graduated from The National Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program in 2006. During this time she received her registered teaching status from The Royal Academy of Dance, and successfully completed her Advanced 2. She was a bursary recipient for two years at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre and graduated in May 2009. Syreeta is honoured to have worked at the School with inspirational choreographers including Danny Grossman and James Kudelka.
