PROGRAMS FOR ELEMENTARY
& HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Studio Series
Designed to give students a taste of modern dance from both sides of the curtain and to show the breadth of the company’s diverse repertoire, Studio Series comprises a 45 minute performance for students in the Winchester Street Theatre, followed by a 60 minute movement class led by TDT Company members, giving students a chance to grasp and further reflect on what they have witnessed on stage. These special student performances are introduced and contextualized by Artistic Director Christopher House and include time for dialogue between artists and the audience. No previous dance experience required.

Student Matinees
These performances are specifically designed for students, featuring selected works from current repertoire and world premieres followed by a question-and-answer with Christopher House and the dancers.
Performances in Toronto take place at either the Premiere Dance Theatre or the Winchester Street Theatre. On tour, locations of Student Matinee performances vary.

A new work by Christopher House

Riding a new wave of kinetic excitement, Toronto Dance Theatre returns with a major new work by Christopher House set to the joyful, driving music of American composer Steve Reich.
Location: Fleck Dance Theatre, Harbourfront Centre, 207 Queen’s Quay West, Toronto
Cost: $16/student (includes HST)
Duration: 70 minute performance followed by a Q&A.
