CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP
With the continuing decline of government support for the arts, private sector support has never been more important. Whether it is the sponsorship of a performance or an entire run, a corporate membership in Toronto Dance Theatre's Dancers Circle, a monetary gift or in-kind donation your support will assist us in maintaining our high level of artistic achievement, while associating your name or company with innovation and excellence. Toronto Dance Theatre thanks our corporate partners for their support.

The transition from dance training to a professional dance career is a daunting one for young, emerging artists, often filled with uncertainty of what the future has to offer. Toronto Dance Theatre has been able to help bridge this gap through its TD Dance Intern Program, generously sponsored by TD Bank Financial Group since 2001.
Interns are fully integrated into the life of the company and mentored by the company’s artistic staff. They work alongside the company dancers in class and rehearsal each day, participate in the creative and rehearsal process of new works and existing repertoire, and perform in selected performances. This season, Toronto Dance Theatre and TD Bank Financial Group welcome interns Heather Berry and Kamen Wang, both from The School of Toronto Dance Theatre.
I wouldn’t have traded my experiences as an intern for anything in the world and I can’t stress enough how important it is for companies like Toronto Dance Theatre to be able to give opportunities like intern programs to young aspiring dancers. Luke Garwood, TD Dance Intern 2004-2005, now a full company member

Toronto Dance Theatre is thrilled to welcome BMO Financial Group as the Four at the Winch Series Sponsor for the second time. Now in its 9th season, Four at the Winch has a history of selling out every year, and has the featured work of over 40 outstanding Canadian choreographers. TDT is conceived both as a vital performing company and as a creative crucible. Four at the Winch underscores the organization’s commitment to innovation, and provides choreographers with the opportunity to work in an environment where experimentation and risks are encouraged.
A packed house greeted the eighth incarnation of Four at the Winch, proving the enduring popularity of this series. The premise is simple: TDT Artistic Director Christopher House invites four choreographers to set original works on the company. Thus, his dancers are challenged by new movement vocabulary, while the choreographers are given the freedom to create without worrying about the usual funding issues. Paula Citron, The Globe and Mail

Toronto Dance Theatre was pleased to partner with Rogers Communications for the first time in November 2005, during the company’s second artistic collaboration with indie-rock sensations The Hidden Cameras. Staged and structured like a music concert, this project blurred the lines between dancers and musicians, as the performers step outside their customary roles – band members replace dancers, with the dancers then joining the band throughout the show, creating an ever-changing line-up of artists. In the Boneyard played to sold-out crowds and standing ovations throughout its run – drawing a wonderfully diverse audience from both the dance and indie music communities.
